Developing advanced materials is a key part of achieving clean and sustainable energy generation, whether it’s through increasing the efficiency of solid state batteries and photovoltaics, or through advancing other forms of clean energy. The Cambridge-led Centre of Advanced Materials for Integrated Energy Systems (CAM-IES) – a collaboration with Newcastle University – is exploiting unexplored synergies between different fields in energy research to discover new materials and enhance device performances, all with strong industry engagement.
