A BAFTA-winning game that’s supporting mental health

About 1 in every 100 people will experience a psychotic episode in their lifetime. Paul Fletcher’s research on psychosis contributed to understanding this complex and frightening experience. In collaboration with an independent games developer based in Cambridge, this has translated into a respectful portrayal of psychosis in Hellblade, winning 5 BAFTAs. Over 1.5 million games have been sold in 18 languages, raising over £60k for mental health and establishing a scholarship with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust to help students improve their mental health.
