Supporting UK capacity to decontaminate unsafe places

We all enjoy a clean environment – we wash our hands, do the dishes, expect food and hospitals to be clean. But how clean is clean? What about when there’s a pandemic or a toxic substance like Novichok? Researchers have reviewed the UK capacity to model, manage and plan cleaning and decontamination operations, and come up with a 10-year plan for investment from funder and government agencies in partnership with industry. The website ‘How clean is clean?’ explores the science of cleaning and how these questions can be addressed.
