Exposing inequalities in distribution of GPs across England

A fair distribution of primary care staff is a key building block to reducing health and care inequalities. However, researchers have shown that deprived areas of England such as Blackpool not only have deeper and more complex health needs but also have fewer GPs and a worse experience of care. The researchers have developed a data dashboard to support healthcare providers and policymakers in reducing inequalities in primary care across England.
