A University Technology Partnership between Cambridge and Rolls-Royce with the Universities of Swansea and Birmingham has focused on developing new materials to withstand the extreme conditions of aeroengines. The relationship gives researchers extraordinary opportunities to collaborate with each other and with industry to address some of the world’s most complex technological challenges, and gives Rolls-Royce access to academic expertise, unique facilities and exposure to new ideas.
