Increasing efficiency in our supply chains

Modern supply chains are highly integrated and complex but what if they could be agile and efficient? Cambridge-led research on supply chains as part of ReMediES, a £23 million university–industry collaborative project, has brought a competitive advantage to companies that include Bradford-based CrystecPharma. With a new cost-effective approach to continuous product manufacture, the company constructed an engineering plant in the UK for pharmaceuticals, re-shoring capability from China.
