Advising government on trade policy post-Brexit

The UK’s decision to leave the European Union in 2016 resulted in an urgent need for the development of an independent UK trade policy. Meredith Crowley’s research and expertise supported the building of essential capacity in Whitehall and provided evidence for backing the creation of an independent authority to minimise the economic cost of future trade shocks. She has continued to provide advice to the government based on her deep economic, institutional and legal knowledge of international trade policy.
