Can public services be managed so that social, health, educational and other services don’t reach breaking point? Researchers have taken inspiration from the intuitive platforms of Uber, Amazon and Google and developed a platform that shares back office services across departments, reducing duplications and freeing up civil servants’ time. The approach has been adopted by local authorities including Adur & Worthing Councils, and influenced the Scottish government in their digital strategy.
