The Alan Turing Institute is helping to secure the UK’s place as a global AI superpower using data science to tackle some of the biggest challenges in science, society and the economy. Cambridge is one of five founding partners in the national institute based in London. Cambridge Turing Fellows are working on projects as diverse as an AI tool to detect dementia, being trialled in Brighton, and a ‘digital twin’ to optimise subterranean farming in Clapham.
